The Sooryavanshi Impact Player call only works if the captain keeps a sweeper on that 73-metre short fine-leg boundary and uses him before dew flattens the Christchurch green-top after 8:30 PM IST. Losing Mayank’s left-arm angle for Prince Yadav also weakens India’s left-right balance against wrist-spin, so Duffy’s flat pads-drift becomes a real middle-overs test.
Yaar, Sooryavanshi as Impact Player feels paisa vasool only if he strikes in the middle overs, but dropping Mayank Yadav for Prince Yadav is a proper head-scratcher for me. And with Gill and Gaikwad having to handle Duffy under Christchurch dew after 8:30, bhai, this chase will not be easy.
